Skullgirls (Xbox 360)
Skullgirls 3 last news Michiru Yamane writes music for SkullgirlsBrand new drawing 2D fighting, forged in the walls of Revenge, Skullgirls have got quite a surprise composer. Known for a Castlevania series, Michiru Yamane is writing easy-listening jazz soundtrack for the game. She left Konami 20 years ago (a tendency?) and now works for herself as freelancer. Skullgirls is her first project with the American developer. That's what she says about this: “It was clear from the start that Skullgirls is something special, and I’m constantly seeking new and innovative projects to create for. After seeing the game’s distinctive artistic direction, and discussing its beautiful premise with Autumn Games and Reverge Labs, it was easy to be inspired. Because Skullgirls has such a unique style, it is important that the music both complements and adds to the game’s atmosphere. I think fans will be very happy with the direction we are taking.” As we have already written above, Michiru writes jazz songs. According to her words she always wanted to be able to use jazz arrangements in the game. Dreams come true. Some more info about Skullgirls. In addition to interesting visual design the project is filled with original game mechanic. Why? Mike «MikeZ» Zaimont one of the internationally famous fighters is responsible for fighting part. Of course, Mike’s fights were only digital (this gives additional “+” to Skullgirls). Skullgirls to be released this year on PS3 and Xbox 360. Below you will find video-announce of the soundtrack performed by Michiru, as also one full track from the game. |
