Alan Wake composer Petri Alanko scores new game
The composer of action-thriller Alan Wake Petri Alanko recently voiced in his tweet current projects, however without any mentioning names and without any hints.”Oh my. Four projects on my desk(top). One game, one movie, one album mix, one curious theme remake/remix. Feeling sporty in a dead cow way.” - he wrote.
In consideration of active tweeter-correspondence between Petri Alanko and music video director Stobe Harju (he made videos for Poets of the Fall and cinematic scenes for Alan Wake), we can assume Alanko is going to make music for his film. At least, in an interview to our site Alanko admired the skill of Stobe Harju and expressed his desire to write music for his film if it ever would.
As for the game, it is too early to make any suppositions: it may be a new franchise for Petrie, but Alan Wake 2 is not excluded. Microsoft has not yet made the announcement of a sequel, so Remedy is extremely cautious, when saying about the future of the franchise. However, representatives of the developer said - if the publisher gives to Alan Wake 2 a new chance, the development of the sequel will take as little as eighteen months (as his time working on Max Payne 2), because their engine answers to the latest standards and does not require a major revision.
Probably some kind of detail we can find out closer to E3 2011.
UPD: Petri Alanko: Making music, mixing stems, tuning, editing - but it&39;s not Alan Wake 2. ;-)
