A number of interesting game soundtracks have been published this week. Sakuraba Motoi, the music director of several hit RPG titles such as Valkyrie Profile and Star Ocean has produced a
piano solo arranged album for the Tales of series. Appreciate the mellow classical atmosphere instilled into the tracks with this album.
You have a wide range of choices this week, for those who enjoys something relatively peaceful, there is the above mentioned Tales Of Series Piano arranged tracks, but for those who prefer nightmares over sound sleep,
Siren 2 Original Soundtrack has the perfect lullaby for you.
Sigma Harmonics' Soundtrack sits somewhere between the Piano collection and Siren 2 OST, instead of introducing outright horror, the OST creates a more subtle and suspenseful atmosphere. Aside from full versions of tracks used in the game, music that are used in promotion movies and pieces that never made it into the game are included in the collection as well.
X Edge and Super Robot Taisen Z are both hot games that are released this week, and although they are of vastly different genres they both contain crossover elements. As part of the promotional campaign
X Edge released its OST on High Quality discs while Super Robot Taisen Z published it's theme song
Crest of Z's Toshin No Monsho as a CD single.
Other interesting soundtracks include
PixelJunk Eden Original Soundtrack and
Knights in the Nightmare Original Soundtrack.
