Kimihiro Abe Confirms Basiscape Departure

Kimihiro Abe has confirmed to us that he departed his role at Hitoshi Sakimoto's music production company Basiscape earlier this year. Having joined the company in 2004, he has been involved in a range of major projects in both lead and assistant roles. It appears that the composer will now pursue a freelance career, having already released a solo album through Bandcamp. Abe's departure is the latest of a string of departures from the Basiscape team, following Kentaro Nakagoshi, Noriyuki Kamikura, and Manabu Namiki.
