Ubisoft Details AnvilNext Enhancements – 10X More Objects
During the SIGGRAPH this year, Sebastian Aaltonen and Ulrich Haar talked about the new iteration of AnvilNext engine that has been powering Assassin’s Creed: Unity. According to the developers, AnvilNext was capable of pushing 10X many objects than previous Assassin’s Creed games.
In addition, AnvilNext was able to provide 1-2 orders of magnitude less draw calls, something that is essential for a open world game.
