A concept album of experimental covers and original compositions inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. A collaboration between the video game soundtrack label, Data Discs, and the London-based experimental music group, Imprints.
Written and recorded between 2019-2023, this album utilises tape machines, pedal steel guitar, modular synthesisers, field recordings, piano, double bass and various DIY circuits/devices in an attempt to approach the idea of the “video game cover album” in a more organic and interpretative way. By mixing acoustic and ensemble elements with processed electronic and synthesised sounds, the intention is to reflect the feelings of desolation, space and loss often evoked by this most revered and influential game.
