"Johto Legends Vol. 1 is the latest music project from Pokémon Reorchestrated (PREO), featuring cinematic arrangements of the classic tunes from Pokémon Gold and Silver, and their respective remakes. It's PREO's goal to honor the Pokémon games by expanding on the original soundtracks through lush orchestration, evoking the true spirit and essence of Pokémon: friendship, adventure, and excitement!

"Battle! Wild Pokémon" is the first single from Johto Legends, which I think will be a pretty fitting intro to the rest of the album. In my arrangement of the battle theme, I tried to bring out that feeling of desperation and panic that a first-time Pokémon Trainer would feel after wandering into the tall grass and encountering a new Pokémon! There are moments of surprise, triumph, setback, defeat--all elements that contribute to the intensity of wild battles. I hope that it does justice to the original!"
