NieR Gestalt & Replicant -15 Nightmares & Arrange Tracks-

Commentary

Keiichi Okabe - Composer

Hello, this is Okabe, from MONACA. To begin, I'd like to thank you for buying this Nier arrange album. Probably, most of you have already bought the original soundtrack, right? At the beginning, we weren't sure if a soundtrack would even be released, but thanks to the efforts of the staff and the encouragement of so many fans, the release arrived. I would never have imagined that even an arranged album would be released, and I am sure that it is thanks to the support of the fans and all of you who bought the original soundtrack. I am truly grateful. Thank you very much.

And now to the heart of the matter: how do you like this album? Did you enjoy it? We based the selection of pieces to arrange on the variety of views and opinions that fans have expressed to us. The first half contains the music for the downloadable content. When it was being created, Yokou-san told me to remake the music "as if the beautiful, good child that was Nier's music has returned home after going off to war." So, is it more war-like? (laughs) The approach is completely different from the original, so it may be difficult to look at it apart from what you liked in the previous version, but I hope that you enjoy the gap.

In contrast to the first half's extra tracks, the latter half is acoustic. Here we tried to maintain the image and worldview of the original music with simple and refined new versions. And we hope you enjoy the very different character of the final track, "The Legend of Nier," created with the fans in mind.

I sincerely hope that you like this album. And I hope that we can meet again through music. Well, until then!
