Overview

Trash 007 at last continues the series of CDs that contain music for smaller projects from SuperSweep. This album, featuring contributions from Kazuhiro Kobayashi and Takanori Sato, contains music for what seems like a language training game on the Nintendo Wii. Is this one worth picking up?

Body

The first thing I noticed about this soundtrack is that some of the music is very reminiscent of the music heard in the various Nintendo Wii channels, such as the Shop Channel, etc. Themes like "You Color" and "Please Choose a Menu" give off a very lounge flavor, providing a wonderful atmosphere and pretty beautiful melodies as well.

There are some themes that have a more futuristic otherworldly tone, reminiscent of the Phantasy Star Online series. These include "Your Power is Tried" with its groovy beat and futuristic synthesizer tones, "Data Distribution" with its playful electronic tones, or "Dictionary" with its atmospheric approach.

Other tracks of note are "You fight," which has an awesome retro vibe with its slick bass grooves and infectious melody, conjuring up images of speed, or "Under Study", which offers a very jovial atmosphere and melody akin to something you might hear in Super Mario 64.

Summary

Overall, the album, despite being short, is definitely one of the best albums in the series to date, offering some strong themes and stylistic cohesion. If you have a chance, definitely try to pick it up because it can be ordered from the Supersweep shop for rather cheap.
