We have special guests at Game-OST today. Hollywood movie composers Klaus Badelt and Ian Honeyman were able to discuss with us their approach to Motorstorm: Apocalypse soundtrack.
Klaus Badelt most known by soundtrack for the Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of The Black Pearl. Actually, there are about 60 soundtracks which he wrote and many of them you are surely heard. For example, Equilibrium, Constantine, Ultraviolet and Time Machine. Ian Honeyman helps Klaus and writes additional music for these projects. Further, he has work solo on such feature films as Redline, Operation Endgame and Disney&39;s film Lilly the Witch: the Dragon and the Magic Book.
So, let’s move to the interview!
New game trailer for
Motorstorm: Apocalypse could be called musical, with it reminds some
MGS4: Guns of the Patriots - the same disruption, dust, fire and eastern violin in the background.
Then everything becomes more interesting. And I think we saw a real fragment of the game soundtrack. If so, then we would expect all the things for what Hollywood is loved / hated. Adrenal electronic part will coexist with the symphonic arrangements, sometimes reminiscent of James Bond theme. It’s up to you how to find this out, but ideologically mix should follows to
Split / Second canon.
We remind you that the soundtrack writes
Klaus Badelt (Pirates of the Caribbean) in cooperation with Ian Honeyman.
The game will be released in March this year on the PS3.
In a new interview developers of
MotorStorm: Apocalypse with happy faces share with all of us features of their offspring. The race is now held in destroyed cities, and they are look like after the Third World. Unfortunately, the looters have not gone away, and those bastards would prevent driving on the bombed-out regions. No, Karmageddon’s rebirth is not expected, but Pedestrian with guns will make a pleasing variety to the gameplay.
Car park will be enlarged with 4 new classes: muscle cars, sports cars, compact cars and superbike. City, can you expect from that? Also, the developers claim that the race will take place not only during the day but at night and at twilight.
Now something about our subject. In addition to the licensed soundtrack (do not tell it was unexpected), the game will full of symphonic music. Chief composer is a tough Hollywood guy, the author of "Pirates of the Caribbean”,
Klaus Badelt - he will weave an apocalyptic canvas.
We hope to something close to
Split\Second as in drive as in stuffing sense.
Apocalyptic racing begins on on march this year
