Electronic Arts just announced name of Dead Space composer –
Jason Graves composed over three hours of music, which was recorded during two record sessions. Jason’s music was performed by famous
Northwest Sinfonia and
Skywalker Symphony Orchestra, recorded at Bastyr Chapel and Skywalker Sound Scoring Stage and conducted by Jason himself. Each section was recorded separately (woodwinds, string, brass and percussions) to have opportunity to create multilayered adaptive music for game. Recording was produced by Jason Graves and
Rod Abernethy. Do you remember awesome Alone in the Dark symphonic soundtrack by
Olivier Deriviere? Well, now we have another good example of using symphonic music in horrors.
Soundtrack will be available as digital download through EA service EA Trax.
