In April 2012, the Gust Corporation released Ciel no Surge for the PlayStation Vita. A selling point was that it featured a soundtrack primarily composed by singer-songwriter Akiko Shikata, best known for her fantasy vocal albums. Frontier Works have confirmed they will finally released the first volume of the soundtrack in February 2013. A concert-style vocal album will also be released, featuring performances by Shikata, Minami Kizuki, and Haruka Shimotsuki.
On November 18, two albums will be released for the 3DS and PSP RPG UnchainBlades Exxiv. One is an original soundtrack, featuring the instrumental music for the game created by Nobuo Uematsu and his band Earthbound Papas. The other is a vocal collection, featuring four insert songs sung by Haruka Shimotsuki, mao, Kaori Oda, and eufonius. Uematsu's label Dog Ear Records will publish the soundtrack, while Team Entertainment will release the vocal collection.
