After their recent collaboration on the outstanding Dust: An Elysian Tail, Alexander Brandon and Chris Geehan (HyperDuck SoundWorks) have released the results of their latest team effort, the soundtrack for RTS / tower defense hybrid City Conquest, via Brandon&39;s Bandcamp site. Containing two tracks by Brandon and four compositions by Geehan, the album clocks in at 19 minutes.
Famed game composer and demoscener Alexander Brandon (Deus Ex, Unreal) was recently involved in the Initium Project — a series of sprints to create an audio-visual demo using the Unity 3D Engine. Brandon and his company Funky Rustic produced the music and audio for the project, using their experience on AAA games. Brandon has since released the soundtrack for the game through Bandcamp, Initium Squared. He notes that "these are not traditional songs but are intended as background tracks for the environment of Initium in a variety of styles".
The soundtrack for acclaimed indie game Dust: An Elysian Tail will be released via Bandcamp on October 1. Available from &163;5, the 37-track score has been written by composing trio HyperDuck SoundWorks (Undead On Arrival, A.R.E.S: Extinction Agenda), with additional cues by veteran game composer Alexander Brandon. Judging by the five sample tracks available for listening already on the score's Bandcamp page, the soundtrack promises to be a fitting match for the game's gorgeous graphics.
