Kimihiro Abe has confirmed to us that he departed his role at Hitoshi Sakimoto&39;s music production company Basiscape earlier this year. Having joined the company in 2004, he has been involved in a range of major projects in both lead and assistant roles. It appears that the composer will now pursue a freelance career, having already released a solo album through Bandcamp. Abe&39;s departure is the latest of a string of departures from the Basiscape team, following Kentaro Nakagoshi, Noriyuki Kamikura, and Manabu Namiki.
