Revered game designer Jordan Mechner (Prince of Persia) has released a remake of his 1984 classic Karateka. Based on a rhythm-based combat mechanic, Karateka features an original score by Grammy Award-winning composer Christopher Tin (Civilization IV, God of Love), who in his own words "wrote wrote a highly adaptive, traditional Japanese score for the game, with an orchestrated homage to the music from the original." According to Tin, the music will not only change depending on which of the three selectable characters gamers choose to control, but the score will also react "very closely to every punch, kick, and block thrown by you or the computer."
