Blizzard Entertainment has uploaded a video making-of featurette for World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria&39;s score and sound design onto YouTube. Running at 13 minutes, the behind-the-scenes video gives an excellent insight into the creation of the game&39;s music, sound effects and voice recordings, covering numerous topics such as the score&39;s mix of Asian and Western orchestral instruments, the recording and mixing process, and the composers&39; inspiration for the music, as well the sound artists&39; foley work and the casting of the voice talent.
Blizzard Entertainment will enclose a soundtrack with the collector's edition of the expansion World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, set for release on September 25. Veteran Blizzard musicians Russell Brower, Derek Duke, and Neal Acree were joined by some surprising new faces on the project, namely documentary/film composer Sam Cardon and Guild Wars' composer Jeremy Soule. A digital soundtrack release is likely, but unconfirmed.
